Heatwarming Messages

I would like to take a moment, along with the entire staff at RigaTony’s, to thank you for all the heartwarming messages you have left for us over the past couple of days.

We received hundreds of incredible personal messages from; longtime customers, former co-workers, people I’ve never met, family members (they don’t really count) and even from my former boss, the legendary Lee Cohn – founder of Big 4 Restaurants.

Included in the messages are suggestions for moving forward with charitable ideas, and lots of offers to help. One woman, a longtime customer, called yesterday and insisted on purchasing an extra five meals per day for the Healthcare Workers over the next several days. She requested that her donation remain anonymous. We will be reviewing all suggestions and offers to help in the days ahead.

It is all genuinely moving and it makes me hopeful that there might be some good that comes out of all this. We all need to pull together to solve some of this world’s crucial problems and just maybe this could be a bugle call for cooperation, progress and change. One can hope.

Enough preaching. It occurs to me that you have been able to enjoy our cooking, but have not been able to set foot inside the restaurant for a couple of weeks, so I thought I’d give you a peek into how we have adapted the restaurant to our new way of doing business. I’ll also include a look at our evolving Curbside Service which we think offers an even safer encounter with your curbside Host.

And I’ll leave you with a tease. Just one word for now….. CHOPS.
